Its Been Almost A Year Since My Last Post To Here. Wow. A Lot Has Happened. Me And Nicholas Have Been Through A Lot. I Got Married. Don't Know How That Is Going To Work. I Met Him At A Time When I Couldn't Go To Church So That Had A Lot Of Influence. Now That I Am Able To Attend Again, It Has Been A Huge Eye Opener (Husband Not LDS). But I Am Now Expecting A Baby In March So I Need The Gospel More Than Ever. But Let's Just Say I'm Finally Where I've Been Trying To Get To For The Past Year. I Will Write More At A Later Time. Gotta Get Home & Do Dinner. Much Love As Always - Shanni

Back Online With Many Changes For The Greater Good

I Was Without A Computer For Longer Than I Thought I Would Be. But I'm Back With A New Life For Me And Nicholas. George And I (THANK YOU GOD!) Ended Our 13 Month Relationship Last Week. Nicholas And I Moved Out. We Are Now Staying With Someone For The Time Being. We Are Happier. We Are In A Lighter Place. Since We've Been Gone, Its Amazing To Look Back Just On The Past Week And Look Back At How Much George Darkened Our World. Now We Are In A Much Better Place And There Is So Much More Light Where The Influence Of The Gospel, Heavenly Father, Jesus And All Of Gods Many Blessings Are Very Profound. This Man Made It Clear He Didn't Like All The Photos Of Jesus, Temples, & The Spiritual Decor Up On The Walls Because He Didn't Feel Comfortable. How Can God Make One Feel Uncomfortable? How Is That Possible? So Now I Don't Have Him Trying To Make Me Feel Guilty For Putting This Stuff Up On The Walls Of My Home Where Jesus & Heavenly Father Should Feel Welcome Just Because It Made Him Uncomfortable. That Stuff Was Inspiring & Inviting And Comforting. Now I Am One Step Closer To Being Able To Start My Repentance Process. I Only Have 1 More Obstacle There And That I Am Avidly Working On. Nicholas And I Are In The Right Place. I've Changed A Lot About Myself Just In A Week. A Lot Changed For The Better. I Knew This Change Was Coming. No One Predicted That It Would Happen In Such A Way. But I Told My Mom That I Had A Feeling Things Were Going To Change And That I Needed The Means Necessary For That To Happen. God Spoke, I Listened. I Followed His Plan And Now Things Are Getting Ready To Move Forward. GO FORWARD WITH FAITH. That Phrase Is All Over In The Lives & Hearts Of Us Covenanted People. Its So True. People, Live By It. Nicholas And I Just Went Through A Major Life Change And We Were Blessed Every Step Of The Way Because Of Our Faith & Faithful Actions And We Came Out Of It Comforted And On Top. I Let God Lead. I Act In God's Time, With God's Guidance In God's Way. God Uses Me As An Educational Tool. I Use All Of My Experiences Good Or Bad To Help Others. Life Is A Fun Journey. Sometimes Its Really Hard. But Its Easier When We Use Our Past Experiences, Even Mistakes To Guide Us Through Our Times. When We Learn From Our Mistakes, We Learn What To Do Differently. We Are Guided Towards The Right Path And Will Be Happier. I Know This From My Experiences. If I Didn't Use The Mistakes Of My Past To Change The Present Or The Future, We'd Be Much Worse Off. Don't Worry About Your Issues In Life. Embrace Them And Learn From Them. Have Faith, Listen To God. You May At Some Time Be Faced With Challenges You Don't Think You Can Bear. Faith Is Knowing That No Matter What Happens You Will Always Be Okay, God Has A Plan And Things Happen For A Reason. You Just Gotta Step Inside Yourself And Your Faith. Look Inward Towards Your Heart & Relationship With God. Ask Yourself What God Is Leading You To Do. Pray Often, Listen To The Still Small Voice, Read Your Scriptures, Help Others, And Always Have Faith. I Know First Hand How God Always Does Things For Our Greater Good. Have That Faith And It Will Always Be Your Guiding Light. - Shanni

Last Post For Approximately A Week Or Sooner I Hope

Well Folks, I Needed To Come Online And Announce Some Away Time From The Network With Much Sadness. Due To Temporary Financial Hardships Me And The Family Are Going Through, The Computer We're Renting Is Going To Be Picked Up Until We Can Get Caught Up On Payments. So This Will Be My Last Post Until Then. I Apologize For Any Inconvenience This May Cause Any Of You. You Will Be Missed Until My Return.

So My Last Post Until Then Will Be My Testimony As It Should Be. Well, Me And My Family Are Going Through A Few Difficulties Financially & Spiritually. I Know That God Can't Always Give Us What We Want, But He Provides Us With What We Need. I Tell You, People, Without The Gospel Actively In Our Lives As It Is, Our Problems And Hardships Would Me So Much Worse. But We're People Of The Covenant. We Are Members And We Are Devoted To Family And The Gospel Equally. I Can't Express Enough How Grateful And Blessed We Are That At Least Now & Forever I'm Active Again And Have Promised Myself And God That I Will Never Stray Again. My Definition Of Happiness Used To Be So Different. But The Gospel Is The Only True Happiness. I Couldn't Imagine Being Any Other Way And It Feels So Right. It Is So Right. It Is The Most Righteous Of Anything Else - To Raise My Family With The LDS Gospel As Our Way Of Life - So Much More Than Just A "Religion" Or Religious Stereotype. This Is Truly Who We Are, What We Stand For And What Its All About.

A Few Weeks Ago, I Made A Trip To The Church Office Building Here In Salt Lake City To Request A Copy Of My Patriarchal Blessing. I Received It When I Was 15. That Was Half My Life Ago. If You Are A Return Visitor Here You Know That I Fell Away When IWs 17-18 And Just Came Back This Year. During That Time I Lost My Copy Of My Blessing - Because I Lost My Way. I Wanted The Copy Of It Because I Needed To Know What I Couldn't Remember. I Got It In The Mail Over The Weekend. I Cried And Cried Because In Reading It, So Many Things Made Sense And Had Come To Pass That Didn't Make Sense Before. I Can Appreciate It And Live By It Now. I'm So Glad Now More Than Ever That I Got It And Just That I Came Back To Church For Good. I Am Who I Am Today And I Love It.

An Amazing Thing Happened As Well And It Was One Of The Amazing Magical Answers We As Mormons Can All Identify With That Ironically But Fortunately Only Happens To Mormons As Part Of Our Promise In The Plan Of Salvation. As You Probably Know, Last Week, (And Its Been Heavily Publicized All Over This Network), I Began My Family Search - My Genealogy. I've Been Lost About It. I'm Still New To It And Its Been Discouraging That There Is Little If Anything At All About My Ancestors, Even Ones Who Have Been Deceased For 30 Or So Years. My Uncle Gale Rasmussen Died In The 70's, The Same Decade I Was Born In (1975) And My Aunt Died Over 3 Years Ago. Still No Record Of Even The Deceased. My Father Who Died When I Was 2 Was Not Listed. I'll Be 30 In December. Last Year, Even My Own Mom Lost Track Of My Age. She Thought I Has Turned 30. Okay Mom. I've Had Almost Nothing To Work With. But In My Patriarchal Blessing, It States Enough About My Ancestry For Me To Have A Clearer Idea Of Where To Start. But Perhaps I Should Talk To Sister Colleen Kidd Our Ward Family History Secretary About More On Researching Family History. Ironically, We Had A Wonderful Speaker In Sacrament Meeting Today Who Spoke About Family History. Thank God For Those Wonderful Magical Mormon Miracles Once Again! See, GOD GIVES YOU WHAT YOU NEED!

Regardless, The Point Is That Through My Patriarchal Blessing And My Life's Path And Being A Member, My Blessing Said So Much And I Know That My Blessing Is My Life's Plan Because It Was Given 15 Years Agoo And Much Of It Has Come To Pass. Through It I Can Testify That Much More Of Jesus' Love For Us Through His Ultimate Sacrifice For Our Salvation And Redemption After The Fall. I Know And I'm Eternally Grateful That A Daughter Of God Is Who I Am And A Mother And That I'm On The Right Path. I'm Right Where I'm Meant To Be In Life. I'm On My Way Back Home And I Can Get Through Any Stumble Or Road Block That Satan Would Throw My Way To Stop My From Returning To My Heavenly Father. The Devil Aims To Hit You Hard With It Where It Hurts The Most But Misses Every Time When It Comes To Heavenly Father & Jesus' Power & Love.

Throug It I Know That No Matter How Hard Things Are For Us Right Now That This Too Shall Pass. I'm Getting Us Ready To Receive All The Covenants And Blessings That Have Been Promised To Me. I'm Just Glad For My Life And My Way Of Life Through The Gospel. I Don't Want To Raise My Family And Live My Life Any Other Way. I Won't, I Refuse To Live Any Other Way. I Say These Things In The Name Of Jesus Christ, Amen.

These Are Sites Designed With The Intent Of Family Research & Genealogy Which Is Something That Gordon B Hinckley, The Prophet Of Our Church Has Commanded Us To Do. I Am Actually Quite Exited To Do This For My Family. If You Have Been Following Up With Our LDS Family Network Lately, You Know That It Is Something That Is Really Important To Me And I Have A Lot Of Members Of My Rasmussen Side To Do It For And To Connect To Members Of My Estranged Family - The Sullivans Whom I've Never Met Due To Family Complications Dating Back To Before I Was Ever Born. 8 We believe the Bible to be the word of God as far as it is translated correctly; we also believe the Book of Mormon to be the word of God.

9 We believe all that God has revealed, all that He does now reveal, and we believe that He will yet reveal many great and important things pertaining to the Kingdom of God.

10 We believe in the literal gathering of Israel and in the restoration of the Ten Tribes; that Zion (the New Jerusalem) will be built upon the American continent; that Christ will reign personally upon the earth; and, that the earth will be renewed and receive its paradisiacal glory.

11 We claim the privilege of worshiping Almighty God according to the dictates of our own conscience, and allow all men the same privilege, let them worship how, where, or what they may.

12 We believe in being subject to kings, presidents, rulers, and magistrates, in obeying, honoring, and sustaining the law.

13 We believe in being honest, true, chaste, benevolent, virtuous, and in doing good to all men; indeed, we may say that we follow the admonition of Paul--We believe all things, we hope all things, we have endured many things, and hope to be able to endure all things. If there is anything virtuous, lovely, or of good report or praiseworthy, we seek after these things.

My Family Ancestry

The Previous Post Here Was That I Had Gone To The FamilySearch.org Web Page And Thought That No One Had Done Geneology In My Family. I Was Wrong. I Asked My Mom About It The Next Day Because I Told Her I Felt Like Crying My Heart Out About It. But She Told Me That Many Rassy's Have Worked On The Geneology (THANK GOD!) And That If I Look Through My Family History Book That Our Wonderful Family Historian Aunt Sue Made For All Of Us That I Would Find A Lot Of Records (What A Relief. You Tell Me What Kind Of Pressure I Felt Feeling Like I Had To Do Geneology Directly Connected To The Over 500 Members Of My Immediate Family. We'd Have Enough To Start Our Own Ward If We Weren't Scattered All Over Most Of Utah, Arizona, California, Wyoming, Idaho And Many Other Parts Of The US). Well At Least I Know Where To Start And I Was Approved For A Free Web Site At RootsWeb.com To Begin To Work With These Family History Projects. More Of Gods Work To Be Done With A Faithful Heart And A Cheerful Attitude For The Opportunity To Do God's Work. I Know For Certain That There Are A Few Members Of My Family Who Are Deceased Who Would Possibly Need The Work Done So Their Baptisms Can Be Done By Those Of Us Alive. Hopefully I Can Do This. Good Morning Everyone! I Just Wanted To Come Online Today And Say Hi To All Of You Wonderful People Out There In Blogger Land. I Won't Be Around Much Today. Yeah, I Know You All Will Miss Me VERY MUCH! LOL. I Am Going To Go Pay A Visit To The Church Office Building Today Because I Need A Copy Of My Patriarchal Blessing. I Got That When I Was 15. I Can't Believe I'm About To Say - THAT WAS HALF MY LIFE AGO. WHOAH Nelly! I Feel Old. I'll Be 30 In December. No Actually I Look Forward To Turning 30 - A New Era In My Life. I Can Say Hello To A More Mature Generation Of My Fellow 30-Somethings Who Have Survived The 20. So People Tell Me I'm Crazy Because How Many 29 Year Olds Are LOOKING FORWARD TO AGING! Not Like You Could Ever Tell This About Me. People Still Say I Look 21. How Do You Explain 3 Children - The Oldest Being 9? Okay. So Anyways, It Is For My Little Darlings And Because Through My Rebellion That I Lost My Patriarchal Blessing And Need To Get It - My Life Map - So I May Receive The Answers. So I Still Have A Marvelous Mission To Fulfill Here On Earth. But Just Relaying What I Remember Of My Blessing Just Brings Tears To My Eyes Because I Know How Important It Is Today To Go Get My Patriarchal Blessing - My Life Map - So I Can Know What I Need To Do And So I Can Have Some Missing Parts Of Me Revealed. If Time Permits, I May Just Visit The Temple Grounds. I Just Feel Heart Tickled Thinking About It....But Once Again I'm Glad I Live In Salt Lake, The Great Promised Land Of Zion. Because If I Lived Elsewhere, I'd Have To Wait Longer. So Anywho, Wish Me Luck! I'm So Exited. I Know That Just Getting To Visit The Church Office Building Is Going To Be A Remarkable Experience That I Will Enjoy That Much More Since I Came Back To Church. Who Is Exited For General Conference? I Know I Am. I'm Hoping That I Will Be Able To Watch It. But When We Moved Into Our New Apartment A Week Ago, Our TV Became Inoperable Through The Move - The ONLY TV I OWN - UGH! So I Think I May Be Watching It From My Mom's House This Weekend. I Know She May End Up Missing Saturday's Meetings Because She Went On The Nauvoo Tour - GO MOM! Anyways, Here Is The Link For General Conference If Anyone Wants More Information. I Don't Have Anything On My Ward Yet. But That's Part Of The Reason For This Post. I Love My Ward Very Much But I Usually Don't Have A Chance To Tell People During Church About My Network So Few People In My Ward Know What I Do For A Living. This Is Going To Change. I Hope It Will Soon. I Have Looked All Over The Web For People From My Ward. I've Found Wards Close By But No One From My Ward. I Have An Account At LDS Link Up Everyone! Its A Small Class But That's Really Wonderful If You (Like Me) Sometimes Have A Fear Of Speaking Up In A Large Room Full Of People. I Guess I Better Pray I Don't Get Asked To Give A Talk In Sacrament Meeting HUh? Just Kidding. I Will. I'm Actually Very "Gung Ho" About The Church So If They Asked Me To Do The Most Disgusting Thing I Probably Would Because I Love Serving God & The Church And Doing What The Lord Asks Me To Do.
So Anyways, This Is A Quest And I'm Hoping For A Miracle Here - I Love The Members Of The Granger 29th Ward And If By Some Miracle One Of You Wonderful Members Of My Ward Reads These Very Words Or If You Know Someone In That Ward, Don't Hestitate To Post Or Contact Me Or Let Me Know! Every Member Is A Missionary

Matthew 28:19-20
"Go Ye Therefore And Teach All Nations, Baptizing Them In The Name Of The Father, The Son, And The Holy Ghost. Teach Them To Observe All Things Whatsoever I Have Commanded You And Lo I Am With You Always, Even Unto The End Of The World"
How Can Anyone Disagree With Heavenly Father On That One? I Sure Don't. Oh It Is Wonderful!
Doctrine & Covenants 45:9
"And Even So I Have Sent Mine Everlasting Covenant Into The World To Be A Light To The World And To Be A Standard For My People, For The Gentiles To Seek To It And Be A Messenger Before My Face To Prepare The Way For Me"

"Go Ye Unto All The World To Every Nation, Kindred, Tongue & People As Fast As The Means And Personnel Can Carry It Forward" - Today Shanni! This Is Why This Is My First Priority For The Day And A Message I Am Attempting To Quickly Spread. Folks, This Is Who We Are And Why We Are Here And It Is Beautiful!
I Don't Feel "Obliged". I Know That This Is What I Chose This In The Pre-existence To Be Part Of God's Plan Of Salvation For Me. I Choose To Carry Forward This Great Work Knowing How Right It Is In My Heart To "Go Forward With Faith", To Preach The Gospel Such As The Aforementioned Statement Reveals. God Bless The Converted Whom Hath Not The Benefit Of Being Born Into The Covenant But Chose The Gospel On His/Her Own Thanks To Someone Who Chose To Be An Every Day Missionary And Serving Full Time Missions To Fulfill His Great & Marvelous Work!

"Ye Are The Light OF The World. A City That Is Set On A Hill Cannot Be Hid, Neither Do Men Light A Candle And Put It Under A Bushel But On A Candle Stick And Giveth Light To All That Are In The House. Let Your Light So Shine Before Me That They May See Your Good Works And Glorify Your Father Which Is In Heaven." - Matthew5:14-16

I Do Not Believe That One Moment Shall Be Wasted In Saving Souls - As Many As We Are Able To Bring Forth. It Brings Forth A Few More Principles- "Put Your Shoulder To The Wheel Push Along. Do Your Duty With A Heart Full Of Song! We All Have Work, Let No One Shirk. Put Your Shoulder To The Wheel!" And As Well 1 Nephi 3:7 - "I Will Go And Do The Things Which The Lord Hath Commanded, For I Know That The Lord Giveth No Commandments Unto The Children Of Men, Save He Shall Prepare A Way For Them That They May Accomplish The Things Which He Hath Commanded Them." And As Well Alma 26:3 "....But Behold The Marvelous Light Of God! And This Is The Blessing Which Hath Been Bestowed Upon Us, That We Have Been Made Instruments In The Hands Of God To Bring About This Great And Marvelous Work."

I Have An Unshaken Faith And Feel That My Testimony Is Such An Important Part Of My Calling And Willingness To Serve Thee In Thy Kingdom. We Should Feel Honored & Blessed All The Days Of Our Lives To Have This Knowledge And Enabled Power Within Each Of Us To Work Together Towards This Commonplace. We Owe The Gospel To Our Kids, Grandkids, And Generations To Come. I Personally Can Be Assured That I'm Raising My Family To The Best Of My Ability Because I'm Raising Them In The Gospel. There Is No Better Way To Love, Raise And Care For Children So Profoundly And It Is Upon Our Heads To Do So. We Will Be Held Accountable For The Ways In Which We Raise Our Kids And Live Our Lives.

I Appreciate Being One Of Many LDS Professionals Whom Recognize Our Calling To Glorify God In All Aspects Of Our Lives - Personal & Professional. We Are All Called To Serve As Every Day Missionaries!
We Can Share This With Everyone And Come Together. We All Have Something To Give, A Wonderful Way To Serve Because The Worth Of Souls Is Great In The Sight Of God. Your Testimony Can Serve And Bless Many Who Need To Hear It! Trust And Believe In God & Yourself That You Can! It Is Free To Give & Hear And All You Need Is A Willing Recipient. Your Testimony Can Give Hope And That Is The Best & Easiest Service That Can Be Done Whenever, Whereever And As Often As Possible! To Me That's Wonderful! Hope Can Inspire Someone In Need To Do Something Great For Themselves That They May Have Not Done Without The Hope & Inspiration To Do So!
